The Life Patron Program was personally introduced by ISKCON’s Founder-Acharya, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, in the early 1970s.

It offers a beautiful opportunity for individuals to contribute to Krishna consciousness while continuing their family life.

As a Life Patron, you become a cherished member of ISKCON’s international family, with access to ISKCON’s temple facilities and association with Spiritual individuals worldwide.

Your generous contribution to this patronship will go toward divine endeavours such as constructing a beautiful temple for our beloved Lord Sri Krishna, Annadanam (the divine service of food for life) and Go-raksha and other sacred activities that most certainly please Lord Sri Krishna, as promised in the holy scriptures.

When the Supreme Lord Sri Krishna is pleased with these grand and selfless endeavours of ours, His divine blessings flow abundantly upon all who take part in them. Agni Purāṇa 38.12-13

कार्यं धनं च युष्मत्समाचितं च यथा । हर्यर्थं स्थापयेद्यस्तु प्राप्नुयात्सर्वमुत्तमं च तत् ॥
कार्यं धनं च युष्मत्समाचितं च यथा । लक्षणं च कोटिं च पञ्चाशदं च स्थापयेद्यस्तु हर्यर्थं स गारुडध्वजं स्थानं प्राप्नुयात् ॥
Translation: Having acquired riches and built a temple for Hari even with a small portion of it one would get excellent and enormous merits. By erecting a temple of Hari with a lakh or thousand or hundred or fifty (units of money) one would reach the place of that person who has the Garuda in his flag.

Vāmana Purāṇa 95.38

"यः विष्णोः स्थापयेद्देवालयं तस्य पितृपितामहाः सप्तपितृपितामहाः नरकात्त्रायन्ते ।"
Translation: Whoever constructs or helps to construct a Vishnu temple will protect eight generation of fathers, grandfathers and forefathers from falling into hell.

Agni Purāṇa 38.18-19

"हर्यर्थं स्थापयेद्देवालयं स विष्णुलोकं प्राप्नुयात् । यावत्पाषाणं तिष्ठति तावत्पितृपितामहाः विष्णुलोके मान्यते ॥"
Translation: By constructing a temple of Lord Sri Vishnu one reaches his Supreme region. As long as the bricks remain in the temple of Lord Hari, the founder of that family is honoured in the world of Lord Sri Vishnu. He becomes pious and adorable in this world as well as the next.

Narada Purānam 1.1.13.2 - 4

मातृकं पितृकं च शतं च कोटिं च तेन सह विष्णुलोके तिष्ठति न संशयः । दिव्ययानं भवनं च गत्वा तिष्ठति विष्णुलोके त्रिकल्पान्न संशयः ॥
Translation: There is no doubt that he (such a builder) will stay in lord Vishnu’s region for three kalpas in the company of a hundred thousand and ten million members of his family on his mother’s side as well as on his father’s side. Taking up a brilliant divine body and travelling by an excellent aerial car, he will stay in Vishnu’s region for three kalpas. Entertain no doubt about this.
